We split the website universe.

Set of web pages that share the same Internet domain and contain encoded information about a person, company or organization. There are two main groups: Static Websites, the content hardly any changes and, on the contrary, there is a growing number of websites that have constantly changing dynamics of information. For this second group, it is particularly advisable to use TYPO3 due to the ease and efficiency it provides in the design, management and content modification.

Within the wide variety of websites that exist, we emphatisize:

  • Web archive. Designed specifically to preserve and protect valuable content.
  • Weblog (o blog). Website boom that has experienced tremendous growth. It may include discussion forums and most useful is the registration and dissemination of news and views on a particular topic.
  • Business Web. It is the introduction letter of a business online.
  • Web for electronic commerce. Website used for the exchange and sale of all types of online goods and services.
  • Virtual community Web. A website where a group of people with similar interests communicate with each other, usually by chat or forum.
  • Development Web. Provides information and all sorts of resources related to software development, web design, etc.
  • Directory Web. It contains varied contents which are divided into categories and subcategories, such as the Yahoo!, Google directory and Open Directory Project.
  • Dowloads Web. Strictly used for downloading electronic content, such as software, game demos and wallpapers.
  • Game Web. A site that is itself a game or bringing together different games.
  • Information Web. Websites designed to offer users relevant information about a particular subject.
  • Browser Web. A site that provides general information and is intended as an entry or search for other sites. A clear example is Google.
  • Online auction. Virtual space where they are auctioned and "bid" all kinds of items. EBay is one of the most popular.
  • Personal Website. Maintained by a person or a small community with information or other content that the person wants to include.
  • Web 2.0. Site born of the democratic and participatory vision of the concept 2.0. Provides the user the tools necessary to participate in the very process of creation of the website.
  • Wiki. A workspace where users edit information collectively rising, expanding and sharing different projects and content.
  • Policy Web. A place where people can express their political views.
  • Rating Web. It is a platform where people can rate, vote and, ultimately, to praise or disparage what appears.
  • Education Websites. Promote distance courses, information for teachers and students and allow you to view or download content from subjects or themes.
